Community Tasting Notes 3

March 2, 2024 - The nose suggested that this is a complete wine. There are aromatics of spices, ripe red and black fruits, savoury stewed herbs and tomatoes, leather and some earthy nuances. Palate echoed the nose. Good minerality and richness on the full-bodied mid-palate. Structure is still somewhat opaque for now. Finish is deep and elegant. Needs time. Decant for at least 2 hours before approaching it. Another 5 years of aging will lead to better harmony and complexity. 93-95 pts.

September 25, 2023 - This blend of 55% Sangiovese and 45% Merlot is fresh and highly aromatic on the nose with lovely mineral, clove, dark red cherry, black cherry, and cocoa aromas. It's full-bodied on the concentrated and structured palate with lovely. harmonious aroma replays on the flavour profile, plus notes of sweet spices and savoury oak. It has juicy, mouth-watering acidity and smooth, refined, and well-structured tannins. Elegant sweet spices and earthy notes linger on the finish, with excellent length.

July 7, 2023 - Ripe purple color. A gorgeous nose of raspberries, red currant, saucy black cherries (the fruit is amazing), mixed with complex notes of tobacco, tar, pepper, anise, with nuances of charcoal and dried violets. The palate is juicy and fleshy in a great way, buttressed by structured but fine-edged tannins and lively acidity. The fruit is pretty and delicious with raspberries and red and black currants. The non-fruit flavors are great – charcoal, tobacco, violets, sun-dried tomato, anise, pepper, leather, cocoa. This is a beaut, and while it will age wonderfully, I’m surprised by how refined and expressive it is at this youthful stage. Merlot and Sangiovese, aged 24 months in 80% new oak.
