May 5, 2024 - 1hr decant. Black cherry, plum, blackberry and a bit of dusty oak. Medium-full body. A good wine that will benefit from a few more years. Tannins are well integrated.

April 30, 2024 - The Monarch is sourced primarily from Oakville Ranch and the famed Beckstoffer George III Vineyard, a site that regularly sees its wines go for $200-350 per bottle! This wine is a shade more generous and open knit, with light Herbs de Provence character, and wonderfully driven fruit. A serious bottle, with production only slightly above Oakville Ranch.
