December 8, 2023 - An old friend, this shows almost exactly as expected. Upon opening there is plenty of that hemlock/crushed cedar shaving aroma that blows off with the aerator and heavy swirling. This is not typical by world Pinot standards as the vine are grown on original i grafted rootstock. Barely medium bodied. Magenta cranberry color. Barely medium bodied. JCranberry and red raspberry fruit. Mild greenish tannins. A bit of charcoal and maraschino cherry finish.
