April 20, 2024 - After a few relatively disappointing tastings in the last few years where it basically is a monolithic big huge wine without a lot of flavor or complexity it is finally starting to show some complexity. Prior to this tasting their less expensive Le Hurlevent Had been consistently more impressive. Answering a lot of spice and dark berry flavors this is finally starting to open up. Is a big huge wine and hopefully it will continue to open up with further aging which I truly believe it will. At the end of the day if you're going to have one of the big boy cdps the Le Hurlevent is it much better choice in my opinion. I think the QPR for this wine is fair to poor. I hope the time will prove me wrong and this will open up to be a much more beautiful in the future. For now if you drink it let it breathe extensively. I'll probably wait another year or two before trying this again
