  April 3, 2023 - Shared by Xavier94, this wine was hauntingly, exuberantly fragrant with amazing sous bois, tertiary autumnal glory, all the notes I love in fine aged red burgundy. Black tea and a beefy stew note, citrus, amazing red and black cherry. This was solid and didn't fade at all over a few hours. Absolutely ethereal and as thrilling as any wine I've had so far this year! 95+

  April 3, 2023 - Certainly has the aromatic fireworks of the vintage- I wrote down “oranges, oranges, oranges” as this Beaune rouge is working in the high-toned register fruit spectrum with orange pekoe tea/ earl grey type aromas and good sous bois complexity throughout! We tasted this blind and were a bit taken back by the complexity/charm at this level. There is a strong citrus cut the flavors with juicy acidity and make the midpalate just a bit pinched but what can you possible complain about for Beaune AC?!? All about the aromas today. Good liveliness in this bottle, too! Wish we had more! 94.
