April 8, 2023 - This beauty proves the ageworthiness of wines from this oft-surly vineyard. At 28years, it’s starting to shift to an orange garnet around the rim. The fruit still shows freshness - blood orange, cherry, pine bark, and some lingering round hints of oak. Lovely balance of fruit and tertiary flavors; still some tannic presence and structure. Probably at peak, but drink for another 5+ years.
