March 8, 2024 - Was very interested to try a Fess Parker wine. First impression upon pouring was this wine was fairly aromatic with grapefruit, ripe apple and straw. Upon tasting it, the wine had a medium body and acidity with the sourness of the grapefruit most forward. There was some oak that we did not initially sense in the aromas. It is decent and perhaps our expectations were too high. I also got a bottle of the Parker West Pinot Noir and see if expectations are met there. It's not bad but I am not rushing back to get another bottle.
