April 27, 2017 - A nose of dried herbs and earthy secondary characteristics with a core of blue fruit and tobacco leaf. The palette shows some nicely refined tannins but with a lick of heat that is now too pushy when contrasted against the rest of the more delicate aged and refined finish. Will probably go for a good few more years yet.

October 16, 2010 - A quite delicate nose with a bit of coffee and some blackberry notes. There is a little bit more alcohol than I'd like, but the vanillin from the oak seems to cover it quite well. The palette isn't as balanced as it probably should be and is a bit thin. The alcohol is a bit out of balance and the acidity is still too high, but the finish is quite long and lingering. I don't know about his one. I'll try another.

February 22, 2010 - The first of this dozen to be tried, this is amazingly young still. Plenty of fruit and the tannins are still quite dominant. I'm glad I waited a while to get into these. A luscious, fruit-driven red although the balance is not quite there. Maybe time will heal?
