Community Tasting Notes 3

February 16, 2024 - Ripe Bing cherry, chocolate, ripe blueberry (almost confected), black pepper, turned soil. Despite being from warm-er Santa Ynez, California, it also has a little earthiness that adds a little "old world" component. M+ body. M+ well-integrated ripe tannins. Solid QPR.

January 31, 2024 - PnP, consumed over 1 hour. Appearance: Clear, pale purple-ruby. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with youthful aromas of raspberry, blackberry, black olive, herb, and violet. Palate: Dry, medium acid, soft medium+ tannin, medium+ intensity, medium body, high 14.8% abv is masked pretty well - feels closer to 14.0% with flavors of raspberry, blackberry, black olive and pepper with a medium finish. Overall, a very good-excellent wine showing excellent intensity while not as strong in complexity. A little early yet, better in 2 years and then 2-4 beyond.

October 1, 2023 - Great wine for any occasion, complex and satisfying. Nose: blackberries, raspberries, cherries, oak, smoke, palate: red fruit, licorice, plum, some salty meat, fine tannins. Dry red fruit finish. It’s a smooth easy to drink well made CA rhone blend.
