    March 20, 2024 - Glassware: Zalto Universal
Prep: Pop n’ pour, followed over a week

8% ABV and oh so light. First opened for International Riesling Day then followed over a week. Some lovely spruce, minty herbs, and blackberry/cassis on the nose. Similar notes on the palate with a core of stone fruit and white flowers. After several days the wine maintains that cassis nose with wisps of blood orange and other citrus notes, and gains depth of flavor of the stone fruit and plum/cassis on the palate. Just a lovely and singular wine!

March 16, 2024 - Very quiet on the nose, but opens up with time in the glass. Lean and focused with just a hint of sweetness accented with grapefruit and citrus oil – really blossomed over the course of the evening while eating Chinese dumplings. Really delicious and electric – I actually liked this better than the '22 Gisela or the '21 Onkel Peter Spatlese Feinherb.

March 16, 2024 - Really good wine tonight but it took an hour+ to blossom. On the drier end of what I expect from feinherbs, almost trocken. Nose on the lighter side, palate with good density, tons of lemon, grapefruit, and a slight herbal note giving complexity. Great balance and long acidic finish. Great with food now, and will get better over time.

March 10, 2024 - Usually, I‘m not a huge fan of the feinherb category, butvthis is really great. Only 8% alcohol, strong apple and yeast notes (like in a cidre of Kerné, but in a good way), lemon, a hint of melone. Will develop further, excellent qpr, re-buy, 93+.

March 9, 2024 - Really excellent. Very light weight, searing acidity, great RS balance. Med+ finish. Loved this but feels a bit less ready for business vs the Meyer nepals right now. Think these will be beautiful in a couple years
