  April 14, 2024 - Light lemon colour,
  , An initial nose of oyster shells and lemon opens out to show unripe white peach, hints of perfumed, slightly waxy quince, herbs, honey and vanilla toffee. On the palate, a creamy mouthfeel, balanced by quite high acidity, with flavours of savoury, unripe stone fruits with a finish of saline vanilla. A classy inviting nose, creamy but chewy and refreshing, with just a hint of sweetness, and a saline finish. This is a beautifully balanced iteration of cool climate Chardonnay that should continue to develop over the next 5 years.

  April 2, 2024 - First of a case. Nose has chiseled mineral quality to it. Hints of peach kernel on the palate which has lovely mouth feel and length. Another classy Kumeu, this will benefit from a few years aging.

  March 20, 2024 - Pale lemon with some greenish flashes. Warm pastry on the nose, with some toasted cumin seeds and also fleshy, ripe stone fruit. Meyer lemon too. Very energetic palate with a lot of acidity and some chew, it’s clearly young but already extremely well balanced and enjoyable, with quite a lot of complexity. Improved with time in the glass and as it approaches (cool) room temperature. This really knocks the socks off most white burgundy around the same price point (and a lot which is much more expensive).
