June 14, 2023 - My sense (from tasting other wines and other vintages from this producer) is that this is a very well made wine from a challenging vintage for Syrah in this region. Nose is gorgeous: dark-fruited, slightly savory, peppery; palate, however, is a little out of balance in terms of acid (very high), and not super concentrated. Enjoyable enough, but makes me wish I'd visited this winery in time to try to the 2020 Syrah. I'll certainly be back!
