September 20, 2023 - Wow this was good. Cork slid right out but there was still plenty of mousse. Beautifully complex, butterscotch, cream, myriad of fruits, hint of honey. Lowish dosage (some sweetness but just enough). I really enjoyed this and would seek out again. Plenty more life in it.
January 8, 2023 - Random purchase to try this. Very nice surprise. More Chardonnay driven with very good freshness, feels low dosage, good phenolic structure and complex finish. Well done indeed.
July 29, 2022 - (Disgorged in 2004, 40% Pinot Noir and 60% Chardonnay)
Lovely yellow colour with extremely fine bubbles raising slowly in the glass showing a maturing nose with lime, minerals and hints of milk chocolate and opens up with cream and butter in a very lovely way. Filled with butterscotch and smoothing yellow apples acidity at first and then opens up with lovely butter and cream notes on the mid before a very gentle lime sweetness takes over on the lengthy finish. This was very expressive and delicious this evening and is in a perfect spot to drink right now..

May 1, 2020 - Upon opening there was notable fizz, which promised good. Cork was probably original. Upon opening showing some impure aromas, which faded away once left to decant for a while. Wine has beautiful light straw color, nose leaned towards mature development, toasty and woolly premium scent with ripe citric fruits on the back, granny apples. The taste was telling the wine being on good drinking window, sip provided lovely mousse and taste was following the nose, toastiness, butterschotch, dried fruit, but very dominant acidoty kept wine in good structure. Concentrated and ripe acidity felt like sweetness on mid palate, made smile on my face. Very enjoyable at the moment. Will probably evolve favorably little longer.
November 15, 2019 - Dinner with the wine group (Blue Plate, SF): Aromatic, complex, some brioche; palate is medium bodied, elegant, nice medium palate, citrus; medium finish. Excellent! 91

January 19, 2015 - Second bottle (first was dead). Rich, creamy nose. Good mousse even after all of these years. Was very good on the first night - creamy, toasty, apple and other fruit but not overwhelmingly so, and not too sweet. This is what I had expected from the first bottle. Still a bit of a musty nose. On the second night (just stored with a stopper in the refrigerator) the wine was much better -- some almond notes, no mustiness. Great, but drink now.
February 22, 2013 - Fantastic. Nice acidity and smooth mousse. Creamy. Fresh citrus on the nose with breadnotes. Taste with citrus, Apples, bread, long finish.
October 8, 2012 - Robe légèrement dorée, ne signe pas du tout son âge. Très beau nez expressif, agrumes, puis de la craie et des notes discrètes d'évolution (miel, coing), pain grillé. En bouche la bulle très fine marque peu le vin. D'une jeunesse insolente, le vin est vif, très agrumes là encore, citronné, la finale est sur une fine amertume (pamplemousse). Beau vin dont seule la longueur moyenne empêche une note plus élevée
June 23, 2012 - Dinner at Le Pigeon (Le Pigeon, Portland OR): nose: wonderfully balanced nose of green apples, pears, bits of honey, white fruits, and a touch of white florals. Very nice depth with a nice sense of refinement to it as well.
taste: medium/full bodied with medium+ acidity. Well balanced with good depth and rounded tones of green apples, pears, quince, white fruits and a touch of honey.
overall: This is right in a great place right now. Not fully mature, but not youthful either. This developed well as it got more air and it put on more weight as well.
