Medium intensity aromatic nose, red fruit, slight spice; palate is light bodied, elegant red fruit, good concentration, perfectly balanced; finish is medium-long. A very classic, elegant Chambolle with good balance. Still seems young but drinking well now too. 92

Aromatic, slight matchstick; palate is nice medium-plus bodied, balanced medium alcohol, medium-plus fresh acidity; medium finish. Lovely Bourgogne blanc. 89-90

Aromatic, sous bois, red fruit, iron, spice, depth and complexity; palate is medium bodied, high acid, red fruit, maturity, lovely lift; finish is medium-plus length. Lovely fully mature red burgundy with a particularly interesting nose. 93

Aromatic, denser black fruits, slight spice, seems a bit coiled and dense; palate is medium bodied, red to black fruit, seems like it still needs a bit of time; medium finish. Lovely, enjoyable, but still seems coiled and needs time to develop more. 91
On retaste shows a bit more complexity and growth. Nice. 92

From half. Spice, black fruit, roasted red bell pepper; palate is full bodied, elegant style, blackberry, medium-plus acid, medium alcohol; long finish. Delicious. 92-93

Aromatic, orange marmalade, fresh nose without much botrytis, some spice; palate is full bodied, significant sweetness but not cloying at all, nice freshness especially through the midpalate, notable saffron which I’ve had in Rieussec a lot; medium-long finish. Really nice, especially for a low botrytis year, and at early maturity with decades ahead of it. 91
Day 2 and 3: Not really much different. Stage 3 sauternes with still good sweetness but also distinct notes of maturity with some caramel, creme brulee, saffron. I really enjoyed this, especially for the price. My only bottle, but this will go 20 years for sure.
