May 8, 2023 - Cigar box, spice, burning herbs, black plums, and cherries create the nose. The wine is refined, silky and fresh, The fruits are ripe, sweet, lifted and have no problem expressing their essence on the mid-palate, and in the elegant finish, which delivers a plethora of spices and a touch of refreshing mints in the endnote. Enjoy this while waiting for the Grand Vin to develop. The wine blends 62% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14.5% Cabernet Franc and 1.5% Petit Verdot. 14.4% ABV, 3.9 pH. Drink 2025-2045. 93-95 Pts.

May 1, 2023 - 95 vvPunkte / (62.1% Merlot, 21.9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14.5% Cabernet Franc, 1.5% Petit Verdot, 3.9 ph, 14.4% Alkohol) Leicht rauchig, dazu viel dunkle Frucht, Kirschen dominieren, darüber Blaubeeren und laktische Noten. April 28, 2023 - En Primeur campaign for the 2022 vintage Day Seven (Bordeaux): A little more austere and serious after the La Chapelle - black fruits are slight concentrated with a savoury underpin and a touch of red berry (raspberry jam) and a little menthol note here as well. Medium plus intensity acidity, plenty of woody though talc textured tannins, plummy fruit, touch of alcohol warmth helps carry the finish long though a slightly bitter note joins. Hmm.
