April 23, 2024 - Lots going on here. 20+ varieties in this old vine single vineyard. Let it open up an hour! Rich red fruit, floral notes and silky tannins. Good wine at price point.

December 22, 2023 - Good but for me the Bucklin Old Hill 2021 was more ready to go. Sit on the Carlisle for at least a year.

December 18, 2023 - Getting a bit more fruit and a little less complexity than other reviewers, but this is an excellent zin that is really enjoyable and bright. Would buy more, at quantity.

December 15, 2023 - Such purity, with a striking, full middle palate, this has so much length and perfect energy. Dark cherries, warm peach, dried raspberry, balsam and chiseled rock. Full, yet very elegant, with staying power and fine tannins. There’s acidity and this wonderful frame. I am delighted that Old Hill is part of Carlisle’s prodigious portfolio. This is mostly Zinfandel, even though it is labeled as a red wine, as Mike is not 100% sure if it reaches the 75% threshold to be designated a varietal. In a word: stellar. Drink 2025 - 2037.
