February 3, 2023 - A very beautiful and ripe version on the Cortese grape from Gavi Piemonte .. it’s finest region. Cooled by adjacent lake Garada and the swift river the wine has flavors and aromas of red nectarines .. nectarine peel.. Lily white peaches and ripe stone fruits and chalk spice. Mouth filling but a touch flabby in acidity. An extremely well made wine which may include some Sur Lees aging and weekly stirring. It’s weight and extraction makes Cortese special in this bottling. Could age 5 years .. a taste of northern Italian white
