April 4, 2024 - Wanted to try one of these early; as usual it is very good; ripe orchard fruit with a hint of oak spice and a touch of minerality. With air you get some spring floral notes. The palate has very good concentration and a lovely lifted freshness. This has a bit more energy than the '19 and is more reminiscent of the '17 to me. I expect it to continue to improve for several years at least. Good stuff and no doubt one of the best chardonnay's in Oregon.

March 21, 2024 - 00 Wines from Burgundy and Willamette (Bligny-lès-Beaune - Burgundy): Quick standup tasting with the Hermanns. Nicely floral plus ripe orchard fruit with good volume, good structural support in the near background. Maybe I should have tasted before the single cuvees, but I expected more.

November 23, 2023 - Pop and pour, but notes from 6 hrs open. On the nose: bright lemon, lemon oil, some heat, soft cream. On the palate: richly styled, lemon, hazelnut, grapefruit, pepper, lovely acidity, and solid density, but a touch too hot for my palate. At this stage, I think I prefer the VGW.
