Gaumen: Sehr trocken, verhaltene Säure, dunkel, guter Griff. Nicht ganz feine Perlage.

November 4, 2023 - We selected this out of about 10 other deutsche Winzersekt wines to be our wedding bubbles. For a 20ish EUR sekt, this has incredible finesse and balance. Nose of fresh citrus, with a decent amount of brioche on the nose from the 36 months on lees. Tart, vibrant palate bursting with crisp fruit and citrus with fine acidity, vivacious perlage and a lovely mineral, slightly yeasty finish. We got through about 56 bottles of it, and the feedback was universally positve! Many thanks to Katharina Raumland for coordinating the purchase :)

November 3, 2023 - Food pairing/hotel buffet: Good, yes, but neither a pleasant no-brainer nor a fine wine with complexity revealing the champagne vinification. Just didn't seem to come together that eve.

July 26, 2023 - Ripe raspberries...I'm actually thinking of white raspberries, although I amit I've only had them once or twice), ripe red cherries, white flowers on the nose. There's oak on this too, expressed in aromas of cedar and smoke. The palate adds orange juice. Intensity of flavors and aromas is medium.
Medium + body with medium acid. Really interesting BdN here. And I like the light touch of oak. Would pair very well with a dish that had both red meat and seafood in it.
