  More floral than the Sojeau. Red fruited with some cooling blue fruit. More open and expansive on the palate with terrific caplet rpresence and a sense of intensity coupled without weight. Ripe yet focused. Lovely pastille and savory kelp like notes on the back end adding to a greater whole. Seamless. Cohesive wine. I am a big fan of single site pinot, and both single site and blended site nebbiolo wines. This wine is a strong argument for the potential and value of blending sites and shows a special talent to achieve what's in the glass. Terrific.

  October 29, 2023 - Outstanding. The wine has the structure to age a good 10-15 years, no question, but it’s also remarkably approachable today with tons of savory elements providing excellent tension with the fruit. The mushroom and fall leaves here are so prominent on the nose, keeping you coming back to just get another smell of the fall. Alcohol is beautifully restrained, and body is light like a great Chambolle. This wine will easily pass as a premier cru cote de nuits, so I find the value equation here stunning. Will is a fabulous winemaker and this is solid proof of skill.
