Community Tasting Notes 1

January 22, 2008 - Nose: cheap plastic, apples, the apples took almost an hour to really come out, initially a somewhat unpleasant plastic/petrol smell Taste: The intial taste is all petrol with no fruit, this transitions in a bit of golden delicious apples with a reasonably nice and long finish. There is good acidity here which would pair with food, even richer food quite well. The problem is that it doesn't taste very good. Finished the second night (vaccu-sealed) and it was even worse, I actually poured the second half of my last glass down the drain because of the unpleasent petrol without fruit taste- when the meal was over the wine was no longer drinkable. Based on the second night I would have given 73 points.
