Community Tasting Notes 2

March 15, 2024 - Very brief note - drunk in parallel with the 2018 Passion.

The calcaire has a clear medium dark red for a PN. On the nose, more precise aromas of dark fruit (cherries in particular) as well as red fruit. A frank fruity attack with the red fruit aromas but also cherries and a bit of liquorice. Wider and more ample than the Passion, but less intense and long. More precise as well.

Preferred the 2015 Calcaire for complexity and style. May be at an "off" age. Give it more time? Still really good, but not as memorable as the 2015, or the 2015/2016 Passions.

    91 today.
