September 17, 2023 - Big rich and viscous Chianti. Reserved aromatics but better in mouth. Heavy influence from black fruits, strong cherry lingering fruit.

  • kostaslonis Does not like this wine:

    July 1, 2023 - 10th MW Symposium, Wiesbaden - Day 3: Alcohol 15.0%, 0.0 g/l residual sugar, 5.1 g/l acidity, 3.5 pH
Vineyard: Selected vineyards from the Ruffino Estates of Gretole and Santedame, located in the heart of Castellina in Chianti.

Vinification: Riserva Ducale Oro Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is produced with grapes meticulously selected during harvest. The alcoholic fermentation and maceration, aided by racking and délestage, took place in thermo-controlled stainless-steel vats for 21 days. The malolactic fermentation took place in concrete vats.
    Malolactic fermentation: Yes.
Maturation: Riserva Ducale Oro Gran Selezione was aged for about 36 months, including the first 12 months in concrete vats, followed by 12 months in big slavonian oak casks and a final aging of 12 months in used barriques of four and more years.
    Months in bottle: 4
