Community Tasting Notes 4

April 13, 2024 - Aromas of melon, green pear, white peach, citrus pith, beeswax, a little oak spice... full and silky on the palate, buried acidity, subtle bitterness, lots of mystery here, the finish really lingers, salty, citrusy, herbal.... it doesn't really feel like it's gonna go the distance, but it does feel like it needs a little more time to flesh out... needs food to show its best, I should think many a simple seafood dish would be ideal.

October 28, 2023 - light gold, lots of clarity, silvery hue
Nose: green pear, grapefruit, stone fruit, musk, flowers, tarragon, white pepper, wild herbs, flint, limestone, sea salt
Pal: green pear, grapefruit, tangerine peel, stone fruit, musk, wax, white pepper, herbs, butterscotch, limestone, sea salt, sandalwood
    Feel: medium, bitter, chewy, acidic
    Finish: medium, long
    T9C8 (C says could be a 9)

August 30, 2023 - Maybe smells just a touch sulfuric to it. Lots of full and thicker texture on the palate. And hey, its Marsanne, and it really shows off the Marsanne. Really full and expressive. Round and salty.

July 27, 2023 - Made from 45% Marsanne, 30% Ugni blanc (trebbiano), 20% Clairette, 5% Bourboulenc, this white Cassis from one of the best domaines in the AOP displays a vivid somewhat greenish nose w. exotic fruit and spices. On the palate it shows a very slender and lean structure w. medium acidity and good intensity. It holds on to the fresh exotic fruits w. hints of gunpowder in the back. The greenish notes in mind, I would let it rest for a couple of years.
