September 22, 2012 - first sniffs are a bit unpleasant, but then (with air and time) improving. this is indeed like an older gentleman, still in good shape. surprisingly there are sufficient tannins for the next 10 years to come, doubt that it will be worth the wait. ruby, opaque, only 1m fading after 20 years. nose: tart cherry,cooked red fruit, cigar box. palate dominated by acids and tannin. a bit rough on the edges. 14 Caudalie. drink up.
