  March 8, 2024 - Quite interesting and different Arneis.
  Bouquet with spices, nutmeg, a little saffron, hazelnuts and some stone fruit.
  The wine itself is full bodied but smooth at the same time.
  This is probably as good as Arneis gets with this extended aging, still it’s not crossing the line towards excellence.

  January 3, 2024 - This is an interesting effort by Angelo Negro to make Roero Arneis a more serious wine, one to be thought about. The wine does not see oak, but it goes through batonnage and extended ageing in the bottle prior to release (hence the name, “seven years”).
  
  The wine is deep golden in colour.
  The nose is medium+ in intensity. There are still pronounced garden fruits on the nose with apple and pear. There is also ammonia. Battonage is showing with cottage cheese to me. Ageing started coming through roasted nuts.
  On the palate, the apple is screaming, it goes through until the finish. Battonage and nuttiness are also there. Acidity is pretty high and the body is medium-.
  The finish of the said apple (green turning to yellow) is pretty long.
  It’s an exciting and entertaining wine, I would even say that it’s worth the money but unfortunately, it doesn’t quite impress me.
