June 11, 2011 - Back, Back in the USofA (StrEat Restaurant, Austin, Texas): Showed ruby red color with reflections of purple – the concentration of color is moderate plus and youthful, not showing 13 years of age,. Had a red and black fruit profile of plums and jammy blackberries, secondary aromas and flavors which were reticent and hard to identify – perhaps not present. The wine did not show any age on the palate, but a high alcohol level was noticeable, giving the wine a hot characteristic. Rather unimpressive wine that we assume will not evolve.

December 29, 2010 - Great colour, no rust at all. Fruity nose with large up front flavours at first taste. Elegant, smooth, well structured. Still tasting very well. Wonderful experience. Silky mouth feel. Finish was lengthy, but a tad thin. Still going strong!

January 7, 2010 - Lots of bold cherry fruit. Just a hint of terroir. Long finish.

May 15, 2009 - An interesting nose here with rich, old dark fruit tannic structure and a hint of cream. Enjoyable. The wine tasted dusty, but had less fruit going on than the nose had lead me to hope for. Ths structure is excellent now with tannins and acid playing well together. The fruit evolved a bit over the night, but it still left me hoping for a bit more.

May 15, 2009 - Old Oregon Pinot Noir RUMBLEMATCH (Dan's house): Rich and heavy berries on the nose, if you could say a wine had a "full-bodied" nose this would be it. Nice big mouthfeel, fresh ripe red berries and cherries, strong acidity and dusty tannins. A large wine by character. This is right at the end of it's drinking window, if not a little past, but is completely enjoyable. A nice length finish with lingering fruit made this a star for me. Placed #4 of 8 bottles in voting.
