April 18, 2021 - I absolutely loved this wine. I have always been a Bordeaux guy with some Burgundy but this made me fall in love with Burgundy and how elegant and alluring it can be.

Red fruits with a tertiary nose but it had such immense mid-palate weight that you can't confuse this with anything else than a GC with a very long finish that went on for about 45-60 seconds. It has lost almost all of its power but has gained genuine elegance. It didn't pair well with the food that we were having so we decided to consume it by itself and it was magical. Don't think it will hold for much longer, if you have one, drink it now.

April 17, 2021 - A floral and earthy nose, this was a sleek and polished wine. It had a cherry cola element to it that gave a little sweetness, and the tannins have fully mellowed out to give a delicacy that the best Pinots have. This doesn’t have the intensity of the best GCs but more than makes up for it with its elegance. When Burgundy is on, there is nothing quite like it.

February 16, 2021 - Blind tasting: 12 bottles of VR 1989 (including la Tâche, RC, DRC RSV...)
The bottle did much better than expected, ending 5th before the DRC RSV.
Nose is really elegant with red fruits, violets, spices, mushrooms, leather.
Palate is really clean and balanced. Good acidity and good structure offering a nice backbone but smooth and well-integrated. Still decent amount of fruits. Some savory aromas. The finish is quite long.
This is quite elegant despite being still muscular.
