  April 26, 2024 - Deep, dark reddish-purple in color, essentially opaque. Full, forward, & fragrant nose of intense, ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of briary & earthy/dusty notes, spice notes of cloves, pepper & anise, herbs, dark cocoa, minerals & a slight hint of cedar in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, plush, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with spices, herbs, minerals & dark cocoa. Lingering finish. Drinks well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging at which time, I expect it to possibly score even higher (94+). Primarily based on Zinfandel (65%) with old vine Carignan & Mataro in it, along with the smaller percentages of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Tempranillo, Trousseau, Castets, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Alicante Bouschet, Grand Noir, Lenoir, et al. This vintage appears to need more time to come around & thus, is not showing as forward & open as the excellent 2021. Another wonderful Bedrock Heritage!

  January 4, 2024 - Needs time. PnP, needed a decant. Aromas and flavors of deep blackberry, smoke, anise, black pepper, clove and spice. Medium body with good fruit. the tannins show up in the long finish. would benefit from afew years in bottle to show its best.
