February 4, 2024 - Once again I don’t regret opening an Old Hill young. Is there tannin? Sure, it sticks to the gums. Will it evolve and improve? Almost certainly. But it’s fresh and exuberant and I’m glad I didn’t miss that by waiting years to open my first bottle. Violets, perfectly ripe blackberries and plums, such a long finish. This is a special vineyard and I love what Bedrock does with it. Next bottle in 5 years? Maybe 3. Maybe 6 months.

November 6, 2023 - PnP, starts with a beautiful floral aroma, blackberry, anise, black pepper, clove and other spices. slightly sweet on the nose. Loaded with flavor with blackberry, anise, pepper, spices. medium body, seemed on the slightly sweet side, but that may be all the fruit, not syrupy. Long silky smooth finish with softer tannins than expected.
