March 16, 2019 - Tasting this on its own it came off as a bit rustic and mature which was fine. With some pizza, I was shocked how well they both complemented each other. Funny how a simple wine can go so well with simple food.

July 22, 2018 - A little raisiny on opening, but that actually improved with air. This was doing nicely, perhaps on the downswing. Finish was medium/med-+, palate was somewhat complex with herbs, and the bitter cherry was front and centre too.

January 19, 2014 - I had the pleasure of visiting their facility back in 08, and was impressed with care they take. We opened up this bottle for three hours and enjoying the powerful but easy tasting wine this matured into. Full body with a chocolate and sour cherry taste.

December 7, 2013 - Excellent...in a great place. Tart, tasty, more deep and meaty than the previous bottle. Hints of smoke here and there. Very nice. Drink or hold.

(Fanti Brunello di Montalcino) #3; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-very New World, oak Monster; loaded w/ vanilla; cherry pie loaded w/ gobs of Cool Whip w/ vanilla extract on top of it; TASTE-gorgeous pomegranate RIPPING through my palate; little Asian Spice; little leather component; I like the body, elegance & smoothness of this wine; some Oak, but it's controlled; the Oak just wasn't necessary; good fruit overall; a little too much Vanilla for me; many would like (imagine a Banfi Brunello mixed w/ a Paul Hobbs Cabernet); will last for 7-8 years; will go very well w/ meats; a little half pregnant for me; WS-91; GV-87
