Community Tasting Notes 7

March 31, 2024 - Very similar to the last bottle. In a way, this reminds me of Briords in the intensity of the sea shell minerality but, at this time, doesn't have the same underlying fruit. Still, very enjoyable and useful in our rotation.

February 27, 2024 - light gold. pear, ripe green apple, and jordan almond nose. high acidity with a soft mouthfeel. light bodied. more pear flavors and a bit of lemon rind on the palate. finished with tart lemony citrus. simple but focuses and paired very well with a walnut pesto pasta with pancetta.

February 22, 2024 - Whoa! If the Tiberio is sea spray, this is a salt/mineral bath. It took a good while for this to show any fruit at all, lots of structure. The open bottle was more generous a few days later. I think this will be much better with a few months to settle as these just showed up locally.

February 13, 2024 - Consistent with previous bottle. Showed best slightly more chilled. Paired very well with pasta with spicy shrimp and broccoli rabe.

November 24, 2023 - Pale golden color. Nose of ripe golden apple, pear, toasted hazelnut, honeysuckle, touch of citrus fruit. Very pretty aromatically. On the palate, many of the same flavors but the wine was a bit richer and bigger than expected. I assume this wine sees some neutral oak. Alcohol stuck out a touch on the finish as well. Chilling the wine a bit more helped but this wine could have been great with a touch more acidity and lower alcohol than the 14% on the label.
