April 30, 2011 - Nice Rioja popped and decanted drunk over the next 3 hours, should have decanted this 3 hours ahead of drinking.
Deep dark red color.
The nose had notes of black cherries, cinnamon sugar, charcoal, blackcurrant, horseradish, earthy and woody.
On the palate there was cherries, blackberry, rosemary, peppermint, chocolate and black licorice.
Serano ham and cheese was a good pairing with this. 5-10 years will do this well. .
