October 15, 2022 - Bought 6b for 10/b from WL 13 years ago; this is #3. Solid cork. Decanted with normal sediment for its age. Dark purple; very mature red fruits, plummy that follows on the palate, good mouthfeel. Enjoyable but this bottle was past prime; another a few weeks back was better so I'll try again. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. Quality, price, age: Notable (perhaps "+" with some bottle variation).

March 6, 2017 - The wine improved significantly after my last experience in 2013. The tannin and very rough finish finally softened and was more smooth. You can still taste the coffee grounds but it now adds character and some terroir versus having to clear your tongue of grit. Full body, dark fruits and licorice, structure held up surprisingly with some vegetal notes. Held fine for day 2. Better with food.

August 29, 2014 - As it aired, there was definitely more fruit. Drunk by several friends, who liked it. There were no tannins, and the wine was still pleasant and had body.
