February 25, 2024 - I enjoyed the previous two vintages of this wine, although the 2021 slightly less because of some alcohol heat, but the 2022 doesn't have that and is very consistent with the 2020, so I will repeat my note from that:
This is really rather nice and develops complexity with some air.
The nose is sweet, fresh strawberries with some darker red fruit (cherries, redcurrants?). These follow to the palate which is very smooth and finishes on a note of tart red fruit and light tannins.
All in all this is very pleasant and no hint of heat from the 14% alcohol. It works well as a refreshing stand-alone wine when chilled, or, particularly after air and a little warmer, with a variety of light foods.1 person found this helpful Comment
