February 16, 2020 - 15 years has really made this wine wonderful. Cherry, raspberry, sassafras, light minerals, light cedar and spice notes on the palate. Medium (-) body, good acidity, mild (+) tannins, and great balance. Smooth and elegant. A great wine. Went well with filet mignon and lobster. Probably near peak for me, but should still age well for a few more years.

May 14, 2017 - Very nice Bordeaux. Drinking nicely at this time. Ripe with aromas and tastes of black cherry and dark berries. Merlot is dominant, tastes very smooth and soft.

May 7, 2011 - First of the 2005 Bdx that I opened. Ripe fruit on the nose. The tannins indicate that this could have held up fine for 3-5 years but don't think it would have necessarily improved all that much.

October 31, 2010 - 70% Merlot and 30% Cab Franc. Black cherry is dominant, and along with plum and hints of vanilla provides an appealing nose. There are also herbal notes, probably due to the Cab Franc. On the palate it is medium bodied, tannic and dry. It is on the cherry side with well integrated oak and muted earthiness. Nice, but not overly complex; I think it can age a few more years and develop more earthy flavors, but at this stage it's a nice wine for first time Bordeaux drinkers.

April 25, 2010 - Smoky nose. Decanted 3 hours. Deep dark plum color. Easy to enjoy and still heavy on tannins...
