August 15, 2023 - Continuing on the 23 Av de Champagne, I stumbled over this thrilling youngish cuvée (#champagne2023, bottle 28) - a 50/50 CH/PN (base 2014, disgorged 04/22) made by two families - Delespierre adding PN & Bertrand CH). Superbly enticing in appearance - golden w pink/orange reflections, focused, small & relaxed pearlage. Nose brimes w ripe, expressive scents of yellow and reddish apples, lemon, barrel spice, tad of yeast. Spectacular viscosity, relaxed acidity, ripe, broad, mineral- & fruit-driven, lingering close!
