February 29, 2024 - Great food wine! Paired well with steamed artichokes and with gravlax. Multiple layers of flavor. Soft tannins but still noticeable. Full mouth feel. Sustained finish.

September 23, 2023 - Dark blackish purple red in appearance with s somewhat restrained nose. The palate is full-bodied, intense, a bit restrained with rich dark fruits and use of controlled oak, with some unresolved grainy tannin. This is a huge wine that is built to last. Its flavor profile is dominated by fresh black and desk purple plum, blueberries, with rich vanilla oak with and earthy profile. I like this nice freshness of a new wine. I was really looking forward to try this wine but I feel that it will be much much better with a little bit more bottle age. The fourth wine tasted at Herman Story’s tasting room in Paso Robles.
