April 19, 2015 - Another underwhelming bottle of this wine. Simple and one-dimensional. Very poor value compared to other wines in the Donnhoff stable. Drink up.

December 6, 2014 - Enjoyable, but seems a bit tired. I would drink this up soon.

July 29, 2011 - this matched grilled prawns in sweet chilli sauce quite magically. the spice seemed to increase the length to fantastic proportions. i will ensure that my next bottle accompanies something similar.

November 23, 2010 - super petrol and lime aromas. this has changed quite a bit in the last year or so. it's a quality drop

May 1, 2009 - pale and clear. really dry. fresh, acidic and zingy. perhaps needs a little time to become more complex.

(Donnhoff "Grey Slate" Riesling) Palate was like sucking on a limestone. But not Burgundian limestone. Like a pice of slate made out of lime. Great acidity here and length. This wine really clings to the palate and has great concentration and complexity. Lovely elegance in the midpalate and amazing persistence on the finish. This wine is like a powerful focused laser. So precise and chiseled. I will be buying some as this is a steal when it comes to Donnhoff wines.
