May 20, 2012 - Black fruit and spice on the nose, with leather and smoke, and some stone and floral notes at he end. Rich and fruity on the palate, with some leather and pepper, and a good mineral finish.

August 12, 2010 - While I will disagree with others that it wasn't quite as bad as described it was not a show stopper either. It feels like a wine that needs more time. It has all the ingredients but they haven't quite come together. Nice fruit, good color, strong legs, balance but yet at the same time somewhat non-descript. I will say that after putting it through the venturi twice and allowing it to sit for 20-30 minutes it did open up quite nicely. Dark fruit, leather, tobacco, earth, some vanilla and oak. The longer it was open the better it became. Very bold legs for a 13% ABV, medium to full mouth feel with good spice and acidity on the tongue with minimal tannins. Good fruit going in but flattened on the finish.

April 28, 2010 - Dark ruby color. A bit of earth and red fruits in the nose. Thin-bodied, pleasant, with notes of earth and dry bark.
