April 12, 2024 - Absolutely outstanding. Juicy red and dark fruit. 18 years on, this was a terrific $40 investment. Probably drank the others from the 6 pack too young. This is not close to "mature" but is sitting in a very nice spot. Drink up!

February 15, 2024 - Gorgeous Cornas, but maybe just slightly past prime. Loads of iron and hi-toned red fruit. Blood, game and very soft tannin on the close. Yum!

March 18, 2022 - Translucent garnet with no bricking. Dark fruits and spices; silky texture and a touch above medium bodied, most tannins have resolved, earthy, dried herb and tapenade flavours.

April 14, 2019 - Dark garnet with a slight blue and brick hue. Melded together in the nose are smoked meats, dark fruits, cracked pepper and hawthorn fruits; medium-bodied, elegant entry, sprightly red fruits and dark fruits on the midpalate, discreet acidity and saliva-inducing, pumice tannins sneakily emerge on the end, good length.

December 6, 2017 - bright red colour, just a hint of fading at the rim lets you know this is 11 years old
Spicy nose, lots of dark fruit, smells really young
Full tannin on the palate, lots of leathery mature notes, fruit in contrast to on the nose tastes like it is losing freshness, long finish
Tastes a lot older than it smells
    Not sure about this

(Domaine Alain Voge Cornas Vielles Vignes) Formidable tannins announce this as a typical Cornas, but expressive black-raspberry flavors make the wine surprisingly accessible. Cornas: Revolution and Evolution
