Community Tasting Notes 7

September 22, 2012 - Last two bottles, unfortunately, but we've certainly enjoyed this wine. I gave it several hours breathing time, which definitely made a difference (as noted last time). Otherwise, similar comments to previous tasting notes. If you've still got some bottles, you can hang onto them for another couple of years but I wouldn't leave it longer - this wine is at its peak.

June 22, 2012 - Similar notes to before, but I didn't give it sufficient time to breathe. Definitely needs a hour or so to open up. Still drinking very nicely.

April 6, 2012 - Similar rating and notes to last bottle - although I noted liquorice and violets a bit more prominently. Drinking beautifully.

August 27, 2011 - Excellent mature Burgundy. Reddish brown, fading a little on the rim. Cherries and leather on the nose, tannins very well integrated. Medium alcohol. Good length to the finish. Excellent pairing with a rare roast beaf.

June 14, 2008 - Very transparent red. Pepper, Raspberry, Cherry, Raspberry syrup on the nose. Cherry and raspberry notes on the flavor profile. Thins on the palate with a slightly linear tannin structure. Thin for my tastes. Mid-palate awkward and the finish is a bit hard with a decent length on the finish. Only thing saving it is some fruit.
