Community Tasting Notes 10

February 19, 2022 - A nice nose but the palate is not very attractive. This wine has probably never been very good. I can see no upside from here.
Pnp. Perfectly stored since release. From magnum.

November 6, 2009 - In the bouquet some fat, butter and chalk. On the palate a firm dose of citrus acidity. Minerals as well. Some toasted oak in the background. Above average but not great.

July 11, 2009 - Ugh -- this one plainly should be drunk young. Last year's pleasant citrus notes have died away and turned into a mouthful of cobwebs. Whether this wine is just closed down now and will develop complexity in the bottle is a matter of conjecture, but this one doesn't feel like an ager to me. Drink yesterday.

May 31, 2009 - Les Blancs de Pessac-Léognan @ my place (Netherlands): Fresh, light, mineral driven. Good length, toasted. Fairly simple and friendly. Unassuming wine. Clearly Sauvignon Blanc. 15/20
