December 30, 2023 - Interesting blend. Initially was all cab on the nose but after an hour was less obviously cab based. Can find the Grenache but the Merlot was hard to pinpoint for me. Will improve over the next few years but approachable right out of the bottle now.

October 8, 2023 - Interesting blend of Cab, Grenache and Tempranillo. Really enjoyable high octane complex darker fruit wine. This easily stands up to more expensive extracted fruit wines from other regions. My only complaint is the slight alcohol on the nose and some on the finish as without would garner at least a couple points higher score. Labelled around 15% but could be a touch higher...

    October 7, 2023 - a bit of a conundrum but in a good way…

dark purple and full-bodied in the glass. a tad of alcohol blows off to give way to a heady nose of black and red fruit with accents of dust, cedar shavings, leather, violets, and savoury herbs. big in the mouth, it has a slightly sweet entry and unfolds into a cornucopia that resembles the nose against a very firm and grippy tannic backbone. good length with complexities, if a bit thin on the acidity.

quite a bit going on with this wine… it makes one want to get a half case and pop one open every other year to see where it goes. and it should go for some time, even if drinkable now with a good decant. not typically my style of wine, but this one does pique my interest. there may be some upside potential.

15% AbV; Priorat-evoking blend of 40% CS/ 39% Grenache/ 11% Merlot/ 6% Tempranillo/ 4% Syrah; from a vineyard on ridge tops of Red Mountain that include north-facing plots; apparently no new oak in ageing.

October 7, 2023 - West Coast Wine Tasting at K&L: On the nose: graphite, cassis, some red clay, not a lot of bordeaux-y pyrazines. More fruit forward on the palate, with blueberry, plum, cassis, some candied notes. Heavy tannins, but only medium acid. This is good, but it's not my preferred style.
