  May 23, 2009 - Very different from New Zealand or even California Sauvignon Blanc. Rich and powerful, this version from the hills between Italy and Slovenia is medium to full-bodied. Bright citrus flruits with some peach and ripe pear on the palate. It has a voluptuous mouthfeel reminiscent of a Chardonnay, but a long, fresh, tart finish that is true to the varietal. Paired very well with grilled scallop sliders with a rich remoulade. A little pricey for SB, but it is so complex and unique that it is worth a splurge.
