February 19, 2023 - Popped and poured; consumed over three days and delivered consistent notes throughout. No formal notes. The 2004 Moschioni “Rosso Celtico” is a big, dark, burly blend of Bordeaux varieties: Cassis, pipe tobacco, cocoa, leather, espresso and baking spices. I believe time in the cellar has done wonders and even though this is modern by Italian standards, it’s brimming with class. Drinking really well now and should continue to do so through 2029. Grazie Tim!

May 31, 2016 - Last bottle. Very dark red with bright rim. Deep bosque-y aromas. Smooth and supple mouth feel. Enveloping flavors. A fine bottle that delivered for three days.

March 9, 2016 - This was nice tonight, although I might not have had it with a Marie Callenders Pot Pie if I had realized how much I paid for it. Definitely not a great value, but still a very solid wine. Nose of boysenberry, ketone and earth. Flavors are ripe, but nicely so, with leather, ripe boysenberry and a hunk of tannin to finish. Also a nice acidity that really livened it up. I liked it, but not for $70.

March 4, 2016 - Very consistent with previous bottles. Clean, precise, incisive. Very enjoyable.

February 24, 2016 - Another fine bottle. Well protected by physically and visually excellent cork. Dark but lively red. Savory aromas. Well-balanced fruit and savory flavors. Rich. Expanded nicely in the glass. Firm, but not distracting tannins.
