November 7, 2023 - Grand Jury du Vin - Republic of Georgia; 11/1/2023-11/9/2023 (Republic of Georgia then stopover in Paris and Dijon): Barrel Sample - Intoxicating yet noble nose displaying pure yet super rich red fruit, raspberry jelly, a hint of licorice, rose, light caramel, truffle, and mineral. Exceptional concentration, incredibly layered rich red fruit, silky and airy, bright acidity and mineral, and a seamless long red fruit driven finish. The vines from 1955. Absolutely gorgeous wine.

I think the Chapelle is standing out that one, but it is always difficult to figure out what to really think of those powerful and GC Burgundy...
That one smells a lot like mushroom, earth, and cellar...
palate is big, with tight tannins, and it is sharp, with high acidity, it's very long and hard to tell as it is very tight right now...
