July 10, 2011 - Salone di Grandi Vini Bianchi (Mirabelle Restaurant Austin, Texas): A blend of Tocai Friulano and Pinot Grigio. A light straw color, with some lime shading, this blend five varietals had good residual sugar and acidity, a bit like a Riesling. It had a nose of grass, lemon-lime, and chalky mineral, and was quite lively and “generous,” with flavors of sour apple, tropical fruit, citrus, olive oil, grilled pear, and herbs. “Big” resounded amongst tasters.
