  November 25, 2012 - Absolutely delicious! Explosive blueberry and blackberry with a hint of leather and licorice on the nose. The palate, just like the nose, has massive blueberry and blackberry up front and through the mid-palate. Nice, ripping acidity on the finish. Did not pair with food, but would go well with a heavy dish.

  April 3, 2011 - I had this with grilled beef tri-tips on 4/3/11. It had a big, ripe and fragrant bouquet of blackberry, cranberry, boysenberry, resinous charcoal, anise, licorice, spice and mineral aromas. The palate was full bodied, elegant, ripe and tasty with flavors that followed the nose.

  March 4, 2011 - First off, the entire bottom half of the cork pretty much desintegrated upon opening. I would recommend to drink now! Not sure if I just had a bad cork. For this reason, I had a very low expectation of the wine - upon opening got a very unpleasant smell, but this turned out to be just the cork. Decanated for about an hour and it opened up fairly nicely. Long finish - nice cherries and blueberry.
