July 1, 2010 - Have to admit, this was very nice for a merlot. Merlot has been getting a bad rap as a wine...maybe because Cabernet has grabbed the spotlight but this Merlot is one to try! Very nice nose with a very smooth entry. I have to agree with "budman", this is smooth as silk. I used to think that Twomey had a very nice Merlot but this one is better at a more reasonable price. If you have not tried Merlot in some time, I would highly recommend you try Barlow Merlot!
